Considering buying a holiday get away or a permanent home abroad? Then there is no better place than the Costa Blanca!

With daily flights and travelling time of just over 2 hours from the U.K combined with 320 plus hour of sunshine a year you can see why thousands of Internationals take the plunge.

If you are tired of working to live and want that outdoor lifestyle combined with the warmth and friendliness that only the Spanish can deliver, why not choose a traditional village, that is just over twenty minutes from the beach; like Algorfa.

Algorfa has developed over the past few years into a home for the Spanish and Internationals alike. Sitting in lush orange and lemon groves and with a mountainous back drop, Algorfa proves that life in Spain has so much more to offer.

The central square filled with lively bars and restaurants, turns into the hub of the community when fiesta´s arrive! Local groups and entertainers gather from far and wide to fill this beautiful village with live music, song and dance. Ensuring a real taste for village life in Spain.

If you prefer a quiet meal, why not follow it up with a visit to the local cinema which shows films in both Spanish and English!

Like to splash the cash?, then you will be surprised by the variety of shops that fill the streets or if you would rather explore the country side, what better way to see it whilst ambling through the shade provided by the lush trees, that take you up winding paths towards the mountains.

This month(March) sees Algorfa holding a classic car exhibition proving that living a village life, doesn’t mean you have to miss out!

Again whether you are a professional or a beginner, or just want to try something new, the local golf course ´La Finca´is not to be missed. And even if golfing is not your thing the 5 star restaurant which has recently been renovated and over looks the course, deserves a visit..or maybe 2!

With such a vast land mass Spain holds a heap of history and the landscape changes drastically from region to region, so it would be unfair to not venture further afield whilst staying in Algorfa and take a trip to the local city of Elche, famous for it´s historical buildings and palm trees.

With the city of Alicante and the airport a quick thirty minutes away, If I haven´t convinced you enough to put Algorfa at the top of your list for finding your dream Spanish property, then why not visit and see for yourself…I am sure you will fall in love.
